Maria joined Stephenson Harwood in 2014 after an internship with the French Higher Auditors Regulation Authority.

She works on domestic and cross-border finance, corporate and capital markets transactions.

She also has a focus on aircraft financing and acquisition transactions.

Maria is fluent in English, French and Russian.

Transportation Partners / Lion Air

Advising the Lion Air Group and notably, its leasing arm, Transportation Partners, based in Singapore, on the financing and leasing of its fleet of aircraft including the set-up of over fifteen SPV’s for purposes of various loan financings, lease financings, operating leases and lease novations (including ECA financings, sale and purchase transactions).

BBAM Aircraft Leasing and Management

Advising BBAM in relation to the French law aspects of various loan financings, asset backed securitisation, lease financings and lease novations for their portfolio of aircraft.


Advising DVB as lender in relation to the New York law aspects of various aircraft acquisitions and financings.


Advised airlines on a variety of financing, general operating and regulatory matters including financing transactions, maintenance and general operations agreements with service providers as well as other general agreements.

Operating lessors

Advised several operating lessors on a variety of lease transactions, lease novations, the purchase and sale of an aircraft and asset backed securitisations of an aircraft leased into France to French airlines or through France via an intermediate French lessor.

Various international banks

Advised banks on various asset backed financing structures for the financing of aircraft, ships, and other equipment including export credit arrangements for large multiparty, cross-border transactions.


Advised on a number of banking transactions involving aircraft assisting with various issues including taking and enforcing security involving aircraft and engines, registration formalities and other regulatory aspects.
