Lois is an associate in the firm’s marine and international trade department, specialising in commodities, shipbuilding and shipping.

Lois acts for traders, charterers and ship owners on a wide range of issues relating to international trade.  She has represented clients in London High Court and international arbitration proceedings arising from sale and purchase agreements, shipbuilding contracts and vessel charters.

Lois also drafts and advises on off-take, supply and master agreements relating to a range of commodities.

Acting for a shipyard in an arbitration arising out of a vessel sale, and the commencement of related English High Court enforcement proceedings.

Defending a European shipping company in arbitration proceedings arising out of the cancellation of a multi-vessel construction and financing arrangement.

Advising a European shipyard on warranty claims relating to a number of shipbuilding contracts.

Representing international clients in London High Court, LCIA and LMAA arbitrations arising out of contracts for the carriage, sale and purchase of various commodities, including oil and coal.

Drafting and advising on general terms and conditions, supply contracts and sale and purchase agreements relating to oil, metals and minerals.

Advising on a wide range of issues relating to international trade, including sanctions and regulatory compliance.

Representing international clients in LCIA and LMAA arbitrations and mediations arising out of shipbuilding, ship financing and charterparty disputes.

Acting for clients in English High Court proceedings, including in respect of ancillary relief such as freezing injunctions.

Drafting and advising on shipbuilding contracts, ship sale and purchase agreements and vessel charters.
