Kelly is a senior paralegal in the ship finance group and a qualified lawyer in Greece. She completed an LLM in International Shipping Law at Queen Mary University of London and she specialises in all aspects of cross-border ship finance and refinance transactions, sale and purchase transactions and shipbuilding contracts.

She regularly assists major financial institutions, ship owners, operating companies, and equity investors with the negotiation of preparation of loan and security documentation. Her responsibilities include drafting of corporate and security documentation, handling post-closing matters, attending signing and closing meetings, and seeing to the preparation of “bibles” and registration of vessels and mortgages under the relevant flag and mortgage discharges.

She also assists financiers and owners within the yachting industry mainly with the sale and purchase of yachts.

Assisting ABN AMRO Bank in relation to a US$115.5 million term loan, revolving credit and working capital facilities agreement.

Stephenson Harwood advised ABN AMRO Bank as arranger and facility agent for itself, ING Belgium SA/NV and NIBC Bank N.V. as lenders, and Touax Container Asset Financing Limited in its role as borrower.

Ship finance (ships/borrowers)

Assisting in relation to the finance, purchase, registration, operation and employment of two newbuild cruise ships.
