Imogen is an associate in the property litigation team and works on a wide variety of property litigation matters, including landlord and tenant work, housing disrepair claims, possession proceedings and real property disputes for private individuals and commercial clients.

Imogen works on a broad range of property litigation matters across the residential and commercial sectors. In particular, Imogen has worked on hotly contested litigation in the residential sphere, including breach of covenant claims, forfeiture and proceedings pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987.

Imogen has a developing practice in professional negligence disputes, which concern an underlying property transaction or litigious property matter.

Imogen is a member of the Property Litigation Association.

Commercial

Regularly advising landlord clients on effective rent recovery and vacant possession strategies on properties around the UK and on the enforcement of covenants to achieve quick and cost-effective outcomes.

Acting for a landlord client in highly contested forfeiture proceedings of a large industrial unit in the Midlands.

Advising landlords and tenants on break rights, including on the service and validity of break notices and on break conditions.

Residential 

Advising an institutional landlord on the enforcement of tenant covenants, including advising on licensing, alienation and forfeiture.

Lead junior acting for a large group of tenants in relation to the landlord's mismanagement of the building, including advising in relation to major works projects and the section 20 consultation requirements, breaches of landlord's covenant, right to manage companies, FTT appointed managers, and service charge disputes.

Rights of Light

Advising developers and adjoining owners on rights of light claims, including on settlements and working alongside surveyors to agree releases.

Lead associate on a claim for actionable infringement of the rights of light enjoyed by a high value property in a prime location in Central London.
