Fiona is an associate in the real estate practice in the London office. Clients she has acted for include major banks, alternative lenders, high net-worth individuals, institutional clients, large developers, fund managers, occupiers, and charity organisations.

Fiona is a property lawyer with experience in advising both domestic and overseas clients on a full range of real estate transactions. In particular, she has a strong experience in advising domestic and international lenders on property aspects of acquisition and development financings and refinancings. The range of property assets which she has advised on include office buildings, mixed-use properties, retail parks, warehouses, hotels, private hospitals and care homes and school campuses.

Fiona also acts for lenders and individuals on all aspects of high-value residential transactions including sales, purchases and financings and has particular expertise assisting high net-worth overseas buyers purchase and sell new build properties in London.

Fiona is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. Due to her language skills, Fiona is able to provide unique legal services to the Chinese clients by advising them in Chinese.

Lender side

Advised the lender on a £160 million accordion debt facility to Supermarket Income REIT plc, for the acquisition of a portfolio of UK supermarket assets.

Advised an international bank on a £55 million debt facility to a BVI company for the refinancing of an office building in the City of London.

Advised an international bank on its initial Canadian $82,000,000 cross-border acquisition financing of six private hospitals in England followed by a further Canadian $125,000,000 acquisition financing of four additional private hospitals in England

Borrower side

Acted for a UK property developer raising funds for the purchase of an office building in Birmingham and a retail park in Wales.

Advised an incinerator bottom ash processing and disturbing company on the refinancing of two recycling facilities.

Acquisitions of luxury London developments

Advised overseas clients on the purchases (and subsequent sales) of new build luxury developments in London. These developments included One Blackfriars, 190 Strand, Battersea Reach, Prince of Wales Drive, One Park Drive, West End Gate and Nova.

Sale of a £12.5 million property in Central Prime London

Acted for a Jersey Trust corporation on time pressured sale of a family house in prime Central London on behalf of the nominee, including provision of tax structuring advice.

Refinancing of a grade II listed Georgian mansion in the southwest London suburb

Acted for a UK lender financing a Georgian mansion set within three acres of land in the southwest London suburb. The work involved co-ordinating the completion of the lender's security documentation and property due diligence for the house and all buildings at the property.

Financing for the acquisition of a new build house and an apartment flat in Chelsea, London

Advised on loan to a UK trust corporation for the purchase of two new-build residential properties from two overseas companies, with a purchase price of £75 million.
