Emma is a managing associate in our marine and international trade department. She has experience in shipbuilding, charterparty (including LNG) and other general contractual matters, both contentious and non-contentious. She also regularly acts for banks in relation to ship finance enforcement matters.

Emma has advised a variety of international and local clients in the maritime and offshore sectors, including owners and buyers, charterers, agents, banks and insolvency estates. She has also acted for charities and private individuals on maritime related matters. 

Her contentious experience includes litigation in the High Court, arbitral proceedings (including ICC, LCIA and LMAA) and mediations. Emma also regularly acts for a number of well-known banks in relation to ship finance and mortgage enforcement matters. 

Emma advises on a range of non-contentious commercial matters including drafting shipbuilding contracts, refund guarantees, contract addenda, MOAs and other bespoke or specialised commercial contracts. 

She works closely with our international offices and has previously worked in our Hong Kong office.

Emma is a core member of the Stephenson Harwood yacht and superyacht team and regularly advises on contentious and non-contentious matters in the sector.
