Chloe's experience in the data space includes advising clients on the full life-cycle of data protection issues, including policy design and implementation, global compliance advice, international data transfers, strategic data breach advice and data retention. She has particular experience advising on advertising and marketing strategies and the potential data protection implications of using artificial intelligence in the healthcare space.
Chloe advises a number of clients both domestically in the UK as well as international clients who are subject to the extra-territorial application of the GDPR/ UK GDPR. Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, Chloe was at an international Silver Circle firm and spent some time seconded to a consumer-facing digital telehealth organisation as their UK privacy lead.
Chloe's experience includes: advising a global client in the human resources industry on data protection and ethical considerations, arising out of its implementation of algorithm-based technologies into its core business model, including, profiling, automated decision-making issues and fairness; advising a global business on data protection issues associated with its new Bluetooth-connected vaping device and app, including initial product risk assessments, data protection impact assessments and related external-facing documents; advising a global multi-category consumer goods business on its web personalisation activities and use of Adobe Experience Cloud tools; and assisted an international education organisation in connection with regulatory investigations in both Norway and the UK relating to the 'fairness' of data processing in the context of the 2020 exam results as a result of the COVID-19 crisis
