PeopleSimon Wong

Simon is an asset finance associate specialising in aviation finance, with a focus on China, Hong Kong and North Asia.

As an aviation finance and leasing specialist, Simon has advised financiers, lessors, airlines, MRO service providers and business jet managers on operating leases, wet leases, finance leases, mortgage loans, sale and purchase agreements, MRO service agreements, PRC aviation joint ventures, licensing arrangements and restructuring of tax leases.

Prior to his legal career, Simon was a law teacher and taught Hong Kong commercial law subjects in the University of Hong Kong and the School of Professional and Continuing Education. 

Simon was educated in Stanford Law School (masters) in California, USA and the University of Hong Kong, where he was awarded his doctorate in PRC legal history.  He is fluent in several Chinese dialects including Mandarin and Cantonese.
