Sharon is chief executive of Stephenson Harwood and head of the firm's corporate practice.

She advises on the full range of corporate finance and contractual matters for domestic and international public and private companies. 

Sharon acts for clients across a number of sectors but has extensive expertise in the hotel and leisure sector, acting for clients such as Accor, InterContinental Hotels Group and Macdonald Hotels.

M&A and takeovers

Rated as a 'leading individual' by Legal 500, Sharon regularly advises on acquisitions and disposals involving both private and listed companies. 

Transactions include acting for Bayerische Landesbank on the sale of its majority holding in the Formula 1 motor racing group; advising Macdonald Hotels on the disposal of companies owning a portfolio of 24 hotels for over £400 million; acting for OPD Group Plc on its Class 1 acquisition of Odgers and on its contested cash and paper takeover bid for AIM-listed Imprint plc.

Joint ventures

Sharon has advised on many joint venture transactions, including commercial collaborations and incorporated joint ventures. 

Transactions include advising Uberior, part of the Bank of Scotland, on a number of joint ventures with Warner Estate Holdings plc to acquire eight shopping centres and three distribution warehouses for in excess of £600 million and acting on a number of joint ventures in the hotel and leisure sector and the shipping sector.

IPOs and capital markets

Sharon is experienced at advising on fund raisings on the equity and debt capital markets. 

Deals include IPOs on the London Stock Exchange's main market and AIM, secondary equity fund raisings and bond issues across a range of sectors.
