Amanda is an associate with 10 years of pensions law experience, including three years in house at the Pension Protection Fund.
Amanda has excellent experience of a broad range of advisory pensions issues, such as amending scheme documentation, liability management and advising on trustee duties. Amanda is an experienced public speaker and contributes to press and industry publications.
Pensions litigation
Amanda has significant experience of pensions litigation and dispute resolution including high court and pensions ombudsman matters. In particular, she led the in-house team in the Pension Protection Fund's successes in the high court in ITS v Hope (2009) and Gleave v PPF (2008).
Insolvency
Amanda also has excellent hands on experience of pensions issues arising in the context of insolvency. During her time at the Pension Protection Fund, Amanda advised the Board directly on various issues, including, employer debt, insolvency, the PPF levy, contingent assets, GMPs and interpretation of scheme rules and legislation.
She also has particular experience of pensions issues relating to public sector schemes and PPP/PFI outsourcing, having been involved in several pathfinder PPP/PFI projects.
