Stephenson Harwood Paris appoints new finance partner
International law firm Stephenson Harwood has boosted its Paris office with the hire of a new partner, Yann Beckers, to the Banking & Finance department. Yann joins Stephenson Harwood from Clifford Chance where he held the position of Counsel in the Finance & Capital Markets department. Prior to this, Yann was an in-house lawyer at CCF (since renamed HSBC France).
A specialist in banking and finance, Yann has over 16 years' experience advising French and international banks and financial institutions, investment funds and major corporates. His expertise covers acquisition finance, syndicated credit transactions, private equity, credit restructuring and receivables financing.
Recent transactions led by Yann include advising BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank with the financing of the acquisition of Generali USA, one of the most significant players in the global insurance market, by Scor S.E. Alain Gautron, Managing Partner and head of the Banking & Finance practice in Paris said "We are delighted to welcome Yann to the team.
