International law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has appointed Richard Small as partner in its corporate practice group and London office. Richard joins the firm from Davis Polk & Wardwell where he was Counsel.
Richard advises investment banks, asset managers and other financial institutions on a wide range of UK and European financial regulatory matters. His experience includes obtaining regulatory authorisations and approvals, advising on conduct of business matters and assisting clients with cross-border regulatory issues (including the impact of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive on third country asset managers). Richard has particular expertise in relation to custody and client money.
