Employment Briefing Note
In spite of or because of today's multicultural society, religious discrimination claims have increased from 708 claims in 2007/08 to 832 claims in 2008/09. That's not a lot in the context of a working population of 28.82 million, but it excludes settled disputes, and increased media attention given to cases of this nature means that employees are beginning to question whether they may have potential claims. Employers need to understand their legal obligations to avoid taking centre stage in the press. To find out more download the May employment briefing note.
