Yeeling is an experienced commercial litigator based at our Hong Kong office who focuses on commercial litigation, insolvency and contentious employment cases.

Other areas of focus are matters relating to probate, international trade, restructuring and securities. Yeeling is particularly experienced in dealing with contentious probate matters.

Yeeling is an accredited general mediator of both The Law Society of Hong Kong and Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. She is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators as well as member of INSOL and Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty of HKICPA.

Acting for claimants over properties in Hong Kong and New York valued in excess of US$20 million. Successfully obtained an injunction order over a valuable property situated in Hong Kong to restrain the property being dealt with pending the trust claims being resolved.

Acting for a government on its asset tracing efforts in relation to funds misappropriated by various government officials. The value of assets successfully traced and restrained in Hong Kong is currently in excess of HK$300 million.

Acting for an airline in relation to funds in excess of US$5 million fraudulently misappropriated. Funds were successfully restrained and recovered.

Acting for a China fund in a dispute adverse to a major investment bank in a claim valued at over HK$75 million involving assets held with a collapsed stockbroking and securities firm.

Representing a minority shareholder in a winding up on just and equitable grounds.

Acting for liquidators in prosecuting proceedings against a number of defendants, which includes listed companies in Hong Kong, for claims involving fraudulent preference, voidable dispositions of property and conspiracy. The claims are estimated to be in excess of HK$300 million. In aid of the proceedings, numerous examination proceedings had been pursued against those involved.

Acting for a major European airline as to their employment issues (including immigration, termination and redundancy issues) related to their cabin crew based in Hong Kong, as well as the termination and transfer of some of their PRC cabin crew.

Advising an international auction house on various employment issues including concerns over various employee issues such as protection of its restrictive covenants, variation of terms of employment as well as termination issues.
