Sabina is an associate in the commercial litigation department. She has acted on a broad range of commercial disputes and has particular experience in multi-jurisdictional contractual claims, negligence (including professional negligence), trust, insolvency and construction disputes.

Sabina has broad experience of both High Court litigation and international arbitration. Sabina acts for a variety of clients including banks, financial institutions, companies and high net worth individuals. She has most recently acted for a global helicopter services company, a French investment bank, and the board of a private equity fund. Sabina’s recent arbitration experience under the LCIA Rules includes advising a Southern African copper mining company, an Eastern African construction company, and a Ukrainian food production company.

Mining dispute

Acting for a South African copper mining company in relation to a dispute arising from a number of contracts for the provision of open pit mining and related services at the client’s mine.

Breach of sale and purchase agreement

Acting for a Ukrainian food production company in relation to a US$90.2 million claim concerning the client’s alleged breach of a sale and purchase agreement and the client's counterclaims for breaches of warranty and indemnity provisions.

Breach of offset services agreement

Acting for a leading naval surface shipbuilding group in relation to a £12 million claim for breach of an offset services agreement.

Shareholder dispute

Advising the directors of a Mauritian construction company in relation to a shareholder dispute worth US$22.4 million concerning the validity of a shareholder's exercise of its purported right under a Put Option Agreement.

Acting for a private bank in relation to an investor's claim worth £2.7 million for breach of contract and negligence in respect of a fund investment. Prepared for and conducted witness proofing sessions and drafted witness statements.

Directors' dispute

Advising the directors of a fund in respect of a £54 million claim against its investment manager for negligence and breach of the investment management agreement.

Misrepresentation and mismanagement

Acting for a French investment bank in respect of a €50 million claim based on alleged misrepresentations and mismanagement in connection with a synthetic CDO transaction.

Multi-jurisdictional mismanagement dispute

Advising the directors of a Guernsey private equity fund in relation to a £150 million multi-jurisdictional dispute arising out of the mismanagement of the funds of a collective investment scheme.

Wrongful termination claim

Advising a global accountancy firm in relation to a threatened claim for wrongful termination and breach of a software contract.

Charterparty dispute

Acting for a Norwegian shipowners’ defence club in respect of a charterparty dispute which was heard by the Supreme Court.

Trust dispute

Acting for the beneficiaries of a family trust in relation to a £3 million dispute about the existence of the trust.

Manufacturing claim

Advising a leading European producer of frozen and chilled desserts in respect of a claim for the production of defective food products.

Negligence claim

Acting for a high net worth individual in relation to a US$6 million negligence claim against a bank which had invested in accumulators on our client's behalf in an alleged breach of duty of care.

Construction dispute

Acting for a Guernsey holding company in respect of a dispute concerning the withholding of consent for excavation works at a property in Belgravia, London.

Tender dispute

Acting for a global helicopter services company in dispute with the MoD over a search and rescue tender.

Negligence dispute

Advising an accreditation company in relation to a threatened claim that the company had negligently failed to uncover a fraud within one of its accredited members.
