A real estate lawyer with great experience in investment, development and commercial landlord and tenant work, Robert also has expertise in real estate finance work for international banks and borrowers. He also heads the firm's hotels and leisure practice.

Robert has broad experience in a range of real estate transactions, including investment work for UK and offshore funds, single asset and portfolio purchases and sales and corporate structured transactions as well as high value residential investment purchases. He also acts on lettings and disposals for a variety of investors, large and small.

In the development field, Robert has acted on numerous hotel developments for owners and operators, whether on a new-build, conversion or mixed use basis.

Robert also acts for companies on taking leases of new headquarter buildings including negotiating the letting, development and ancillary documents.

In real estate finance, Robert has acted for many UK and international banks on portfolio and large single asset commercial loans, as well as for borrowers on their group financing facilities. He also led the development of Islamic finance commercial and residential products for several UK banks.
