Lorrae is a senior associate having trained and qualified at Norton Rose (Deacons) in Australia. She advises a wide range of clients on various planning and environment matters, appealing planning enforcement action, negotiating planning obligations and highway agreements and advising on environmental liabilities in property transactions.

Lorrae has broad planning law experience covering both private practice and local authority. This dual experience has given her the insight required to understand and deliver her client's requirements.

She regularly advises on complex statutory agreements, planning law risks and environmental liabilities. Lorrae has recently been involved in applying for a Development Consent Order for an energy-from-waste project in North London. She also has extensive experience advising on the planning and grid aspects of solar projects.

Negotiating, drafting and completing various complex statutory agreements including agreements under section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act and sections 278 and 38 of the Highways Act.

Advising Valero in relation to its objection to a necessary wayleave application (akin to compulsory purchase proceedings) made by South Hook CHP Project in relation to its Combined Heat and Power Plant in Wales. Assisted in negotiating commercial agreements that protect Valero’s sensitive operations at its Pembroke Oil Refinery.

Advising a large manufacturer of medical devices, based in Sweden, in relation to compliance duties under the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Regulations 2012 (RoHS).
