Laura is an associate in the employment team and advises companies and senior executives on a range of employment law matters. Her focused, commercial advice enables organisations to effectively manage employee issues and disputes.

Laura advises businesses on a range of employment law matters including conduct and performance issues, absence management, discrimination, redundancies and exit negotiations. She drafts tailored employment contracts and policies, and works closely with clients to effectively manage disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals.

She has experience in bringing and defending employment tribunal claims, and has assisted with high value bonus claims and employee fraud allegations in the civil courts.

Laura also supports our corporate and real estate clients with the employment aspects of transactions, and advises on the TUPE regulations during business sales and outsourcing. She has experience in delivering client briefings and training sessions on topical employment law issues.

Advising clients on the calculation of holiday pay and application of working time rules to modern business practices.

Employment Tribunal litigation

Managing employment tribunal cases for various large companies including claims related to unfair dismissal, TUPE and pregnancy-related discrimination.

High value civil litigation

Advising a group of senior employees in relation to a multi-jurisdictional, multi-million pound dispute concerning executive bonuses.

Transactional support

Advising on the employment aspects of corporate and real estate transactions (both share and asset sales), including employee due diligence, reporting on potential liabilities and drafting transactional documentation.

Corporate support

Preparing service and consultancy agreements, advising on post-termination restrictions and assisting with exiting senior directors.

Transfer of Employees (TUPE)

Advising on the transfer of employees in connection with business sales and service outsourcing, including project managing a PLC's multi-jurisdictional outsourcing of IT services and co-ordinating local legal advice.
