Katie is experienced in the full range of real estate transactions from landlord and tenant matters to complex developments. She is prized by her clients for her uncomplicated approach and commercial focus. Having qualified in New Zealand in 2010, Katie spent time at New Zealand firm Simpson Grierson and Clifford Chance in London.

Katie is a specialist in site assembly and brown-fields development, acting for developers, funders, investors and occupiers, but she is equally at home with acquisitions and disposals of investment properties and day-to-day management work. She acts for many of the team’s larger clients, such as LondonMetric and LaSalle Investment Management as well as others based within the UK or abroad.

She also has real estate finance experience acting for lenders and borrowers, working on real estate-backed contribution arrangements for pension trusts.

Acted for a funder of an office-to-serviced apartment conversion in the City, from acquisition to practical completion and grant of the lease to the developer/operator.

Assisted with a number of site assembly and “neighbourly” matters for the developer of a new office tower in Birmingham.

Corporate real estate

Along with Stephenson Harwood’s corporate team, advised a joint venture partner, and the joint venture once it was established, on the potential structuring, acquisition and development of a 400 unit residential scheme.
