Jonathan joined the corporate finance team at Stephenson Harwood in May 2015 having spent over six years working at Allen & Overy.

Jonathan specialises in private M&A and general corporate transactions within a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, emerging markets and financial institutions.

His broad corporate experience includes a recent eight month secondment at HSBC, working in their corporate restructuring team and also a six month secondment to Shanghai.

Jonathan has worked with both Main Market and AIM-listed clients as well as private companies and joint ventures including HSBC, Macquarie, 3i, Hermes GPE, Impellam Group and DIF.

Share acquisitions

Advising Macquarie, Barclays Infrastructure Fund and other consortium members on the acquisitions of the transmission links to each of the London Array, Sheringham Shoal and Walney 2 offshore wind farms for a total of £762 million.

Advising Impellam Group plc on its acquisition of Career Teachers Limited from 11 individual shareholders for a total consideration of £23.5 million.


Advising Hermes GPE LLP on the acquisition by BriTel Fund Trustees Limited of a 13% stake in Thames Water from funds managed by Macquarie.


Advising Red Oak Taverns Limited on the corporate reorganisation and related matters stemming from its acquisition of a portfolio of tenanted and managed public houses from various selling entities.
