Ian is a senior associate with over nine years of experience advising on complex infrastructure projects. He is adept at using his wide ranging projects experience to deliver solutions that meet clients' needs and has a reputation for providing pragmatic advice together with excellent service delivery.

Ian has advised on infrastructure projects since 2005, covering construction, design and build and PPP projects. Since then, he has been involved in all UK government infrastructure programmes, including PFI, NHS LIFT, BSF and PF2. 

His client base includes sponsors, contractors, funders and procuring authorities in both the primary and secondary markets. He has a broad range of sector experience, including transport, healthcare, education, custodial and waste and energy.

Ian advises clients from pre-procurement through to the bid phase and contract closing stage. He also has experience in advising on variations, operational issues and secondary markets acquisitions and disposals.

Advised the consortium on the UK government's Priority School Building Programme, the first to use PF2. Achieved financial close of the £122 million HLR project for 7 secondary schools.

Balfour Beatty Education 

Advised Balfour Beatty on the Ealing Building Schools for the Future project.

Catalyst Lend Lease

Advised Catalyst Lend Lease on the Sheffield University student accommodation PPP.

Advising the Trust on the development of new clinical facilities at the hospital and also on a new private patient unit.

Acting for Equitix and Dutch Infrastructure Fund on secondary market acquisitions.

Interserve and Kajima

Advised the consortium on the UK government's Priority School Building Programme, the first to use PF2. Achieved financial close of the £122 miliion HLR project for 7 secondary schools.

Ministry of Justice

Advising the Ministry of Justice on the Belmarsh West Prison PFI.

Building Schools for the Future

Advising the local authority on the Barking and Dagenham BSF scheme and Balfour Beatty on Ealing BSF.

Health PFI

Advising Northamptonshire Mental Health NHS Trust on its PFI scheme and Impregilo on the Churchill Hospital PFI.

Dutch bank

Advised on the project financing of the acquisition and development of a portfolio of UK onshore wind projects.
