As an M&A specialist advising on cross-border transactions across South East Asia, Helen increasingly focuses on foreign investment into Myanmar. Clients respect Helen's pragmatic, commercial approach whilst remaining astute to cultural sensitivities. Helen also advises extensively on compliance issues across the region, in particular anti-bribery and anti-money laundering.

Having worked in Asia for over 15 years, Helen has extensive experience of advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings across South East Asia. Transaction sectors span industries ranging from telecommunications to transportation and from pharmaceuticals to energy.

Helen is a lead member of our Myanmar practice, advising clients across a broad range of industries on foreign investment into Myanmar as well as related regulatory issues and commercial operations in Myanmar. Recent matters include advising Digicel subsidiary Myanmar Red Dot on the roll-out and commercial operations of its electronic payment processing network, advising Myanmar Investments International Limited on its investment into Apollo Towers and advising Campana Group on the MYTHIC fibre optic telecommunications cable between Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand.

She has advised numerous Asian companies on listing and capital raising on the London Stock Exchange, with a particular focus on taking Malaysian businesses to AIM. She also advises on compliance issues, in particular anti-bribery and anti-money laundering.

Helen's prior private practice experience with leading firms in London and Germany is complemented by extensive commercial experience as in-house counsel and a member of the diagnostics management team with listed multi-national pharmaceutical company, Roche.
