Ed focuses on the maritime and insurance industries and general commercial problem solving. He has multi-jurisdictional experience in collision/salvage/casualty investigations, marine and non marine insurance coverage issues and is an experienced casualty investigator/crisis manager dealing with marine and energy incidents, including seafarer criminalisation and piracy related issues.

His practice encompasses court proceedings in various GCC jurisdictions, and internationally.  He also engages with a variety of international and regional arbitration forums (DIAC, DIFC-LCIA, LMAA, ICC, LCIA, LSAB).  He is also a Board Member of the recently launched Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre.

Ed is regarded as one of the markets leading names for law and is recognised for his dextrous handling of sensitive commercial matters and keen appreciation for clients' commercial needs.

Ed was recognised by Lloyds List in the Lloyds List Top 100 2015, in the Top Ten list of maritime lawyers globally. He was cited as being a thought leader in the maritime and insurance space, with crisis management remaining an area of prominence due to piracy and other threats.
