Dean has advised many of the leading ship finance banks, private equity groups and owners in relation to bilateral and syndicated loan financings and restructurings, lease financings, project financings, ECA-backed financings and sale and leaseback structures. He has also advised owners, operators and project sponsors in relation to the construction and operation of commercial ships and offshore vessels and units. He has a specialist knowledge of the LNG sector and has represented banks, owners and project sponsors in relation to the construction, financing and chartering of LNG carrier vessels and vessels used for the regasification and storage of LNG for projects in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the FarEast and South America.

Advising the arrangers of a US$280 million syndicated loan facility for the construction of a semi-submersible deepwater production facility now operating in the Gulf of Mexico.

ECA-backed FSRU financing

Advising the arrangers of a US$412 million ECA-backed syndicated loan facility for the construction of two floating, storage and regasification vessels now operating in Egypt and Colombia.

ECA-backed rig financing
