Charles is a registered foreign lawyer in our Hong Kong office. His practice area covers corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings, general compliance matters and merger and acquisition transactions. He has represented issuers and underwriters on the listing of securities on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and listed companies regarding on-going compliance matters.

As a registered foreign lawyer in the corporate department, Charles’ main areas of practice include corporate finance transactions, representing both issuers and underwriters in connection with listing of securities on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and post-listing compliance matters. Charles’ experience also covers corporate acquisitions and commercial contracts. Apart from his current focus in corporate practice, Charles has had prior litigation experience in general commercial litigation in relation to real estate disputes, medical negligence and general motor and industrial accident claims.

In the area of public mergers and acquisitions, Charles has assisted in the preparation and conduct of interested person transaction mandates and share buy-back mandates. Charles was involved in an US$10 million friendly takeover transaction of a SGX listed company by way of a voluntary conditional cash offer and structured with, among others, irrevocable undertakings by majority shareholders. He has also been involved in other notable transactions in relation to other SGX listed companies.

Charles graduated from the University of Durham (United Kingdom) in 2009 and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore in 2011. He is able to communicate in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
