Anna is an experienced competition lawyer who advises clients on UK, EU and global multi-jurisdictional merger control, cartels, behavioural investigations, commercial agreements and competition compliance.

Anna has extensive experience advising global corporations, UK companies, private equity firms and financial services organisations on merger control issues at Phase I and Phase II in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.  Anna regularly advises on every aspect of merger control from devising and implementing effective antitrust strategies for deal teams through to securing competition clearance from authorities.  Anna also has experience in advising both private equity and strategic acquirers on structuring options around UK and EU merger control.  

Anna has advised on cartel investigations including, unannounced inspections and dawn raids, leniency applications, preparing defences and settlements as well as abuse of dominance investigations.

Anna is also experienced in advising clients on commercial agreements including distribution and supply agreements, franchising and strategic alliances and in preparing and presenting bespoke competition compliance training to clients across a broad range of industries.

Clients come from a wide range of sectors, including financial services and private equity, healthcare, media, oil and gas, retail, hotels, gambling and professional services.

Advising a public financial services company on its public takeover of a European asset management company and successfully obtaining UK merger clearance.

Advising one of the world's largest hotel managers and franchisors on its acquisition of another leading hotel manager and franchisor and successfully obtaining EU merger clearance as well as merger clearance across numerous jurisdictions including the US, China and Turkey.

Advising a UK based private equity firm on the merger control aspects of the sale of the largest cinema chain in Europe.

Regularly advising one of the world's largest private equity investors on all merger control aspects across the full suite of corporate acquisitions, including minority acquisitions, acquisitions, joint ventures and mergers, including securing Phase I EU merger clearances for various commercial real estate acquisitions across the EU.
