How we provide value

In our view, the single most important factor in providing value for money for our clients is how we manage the size and mix of our team over the course of a matter.

At Stephenson Harwood, we operate on the basis of 'right teaming' - ensuring that for each piece of work the right people with the right level of experience are involved at the right time.

Take partner input, for example. The experience that partners bring to bear will often have a significant impact on the efficiency of the team. Partner involvement at the right times helps ensure that associates focus their time and energies on the issues that really matter. We are committed to providing our service in this way - and as a result, we manage matters more cost effectively for our clients.

Of course, it could be said that all law firms work in this way. This is not, however, our experience. Many firms operate a different business model, involving higher levels of gearing – in other words, more associates per partner. This can result in less partner involvement on a case or transaction.

Above all else, you will find that, as a client of Stephenson Harwood, we work with you to achieve an open and strong relationship. In our experience, relationships based on candour, trust and ease in each other's company are the very best foundation on which to deliver and demonstrate great value on every piece of work.
